Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Yesterday I had a great day. I spent a beautiful sunny Sunday in Trafalgar Square, London with thousands of others doing the exact thing; celebrating St. Patricks day. It is today but of course, this is England and it's a Monday so you couldn't close the roads and cause such a riot on a weekday. The weather was gorgeous, my company was great and the day was lovely! I've never really celebrated this Irish tradition but since I'm in England's capital I knew a lot of Irish wouldn't want to let it pass, so I followed the leprechauns in the parade and had a swell time- looking forward to next year! ♥

London Fashion Week/ LFW...

Unfortunately I didn't get into the designers catwalks in London Fashion week as I was at home. However, I did attend London Fashion Weekend which showed a designer a day, including one of my favourite- Julien Macdonald, and a trend show. Although I did have a great day, followed by a lovely meal and martinis, don't think I would pay the same again and just try to sneak in to the real thing in September! ♥

Pure...Part 1

Last week I attended Pure, London. An exhibition held in Kensington hosting hundreds of stalls of designers collections promoting to fashion Buyers, Stylists and boutique owners. Not only were there lots of clothes to see but there were also many seminar shows for fashion businesses such as trend talks, how to dress body shapes, enhancing your business, technology techniques, catwalk shows and loads more! It was my first time at Pure and definitely not my last, I thoroughly enjoyed the day and picked up on a few useful tips. Can't wait to return ♥

Steak on Sunday...

A couple of weeks ago my friends and I trekked to Soho, London to take in the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Busy, is an understatement... they certainly celebrated in style, it was nice taking in a different culture in my own country. Getting there too late to contribute in the parties, we went for dinner in Covent Garden instead (mainly because we felt bad having Chinese only 2 days previously). So I had a steak, and ever since have been craving another one.
It was a nice Sunday evening; good food with good company, what else could a girl ask for? ♥

Christmas...

I have always been one of those people that hate it when people start celebrating Christmas right after Halloween- it's everywhere; in homes, shops on the tv. I'm no Grinch, I love Christmas, but celebrating a whole 2 months ahead will just lessen the excitement and increase the disappointed for when the time does come, no? No! This year I have been converted to a Christmas lover/celebrator/believer before December. It's November 15th and I feel like a child again counting the days till the big 25th. Maybe it is because I am far away from home, maybe it's because I am in London and celebrations are over the top here, and maybe it is because I saw Selfridges windows and couldn't help myself from smiling. Christmas is so beautiful and I love that this time of year it is about, more than anything, love. No matter what worries and problems are in your life just spending that one day with the ones you love make everything worthwhile. So let me be the first this year to wish you a very Merry Christmas for the weeks to come! ♥

London Lights...

I'm so glad that we had a heat filled summer, for the first time in years. And that our Autumn remained pretty warm. But it is officially winter now. The clocks have gone back and it is now dark at 5pm. The coats have been bought and can finally be used. The sandals are packed away and the wellies have returned. But it's okay because winter is lovely. Buying coffees and hot chocolates, wearing hats and scarves and soon a canvas of white will be my view from my window. The first time I felt this winter feeling was a couple of weeks ago, being lucky enough to live in London I got to see the Christmas lights being turned on on Regents Street, and it was magical. As the fireworks coloured the sky and the Christmas lights were switched on, Starbucks in hand and friends around, I thought winter really isn't too bad when you're in a beautiful city like here. Hope you're having a lovely start to winter like me ♥

University...

Three weeks ago (shamingly probably when I last wrote a post), I made the biggest jump of my life and started university- new people, new start, new surroundings. The reason it was SO huge is because I'm studying at University of Westminster- I'm living in London!
And I'm LOVING it! I honestly believe any other uni and I would want to go home, but hey- it's London! The fashion capital of not only my country England, but one of the best in the world! I am so privileged and so grateful to be here, I have definitely been adopted by this amazing place for not only the 4 years I will be studying/working here, but probably the rest of my life. Hello new home! ♥

When you wish hard enough...

...it just might come true.
So I think after all the stress, all the troubles and all the tiredness that life has been like this few weeks- possibly even months, something exciting happened only a few hours ago that I just have to share with everyone. Eventhough you may find it boring and irrelevant, you're still going to know.
Today;
Was stressful (suprise) at college and I didn't end up leaving till 6pm when I finished at 3. But on my drive home I had a message on my email...so i got home, went on my email and there waiting for me to lighten up my days was an offer for my first choice University! Remember that post on Westminster open day that I attended? Well thats the one. So happy! If all goes well, I will be moving away from my quiet country home to the top fashion city and head of the country; London. So excited ♥

Life changing...

On Wednesday my parents and I drove down to London to attend the open day at Westminster University. Listening to the lecturers, seeing the classrooms, talking to sttudents and looking at the campuses really brought it into perspective that 'This is where I could start the rest of my life'.
It's really exciting to know I could be there next year, a 20 minute tube journey to the centre of London- How cool is that?
I did have other options, and I may be a bit bias that this is my one and only open day that I've attended, but I think this is where I will be next year. Fingers crossed? ♥
